Reviews
Lovely little venue, staff are very friendly and helpful. Authentic experience, great hosts.
The food covers all bases and specials available were a great choice.
Entrees for us included arancini balls, which were perfectly cooked, flavours complimented by the sauce and not drowned out. The bread is from Italy and was a good base for garlic bread and bruschetta. Last starter was some wagyu with fresh mozzarella that paired excellently and left us wanting more.
For mains I had the Bosciaola Papadelle which I rate as understated. The sauce was rich, creamy, packed with flavour without outshining other elements and ingredients. The meat and pasta were both cooked to perfection, tender meat and al dente pasta. Plenty of prosciutto and mushroom through the dish so definitely felt I got value and quality for money.
Others had the Risotto, soft, flavourful and a great explosion of flavour. The lasagna was freshly made, creamy and rich.
Overall the food was impeccable, the staff were fantastic, however the only shortfall was the venue itself had rather limited seating for large groups; which on the flipside only means it had a more romantic nature.
When we went was a very hot day. If the staff failed at any point it was not keeping drinks flowing, as we would have spent more on extra drinks if prompted.
A great venue, would return.
I can't rate this place highly enough. Everyone there is amazing. Food, service, beautiful people. The best experience every time we visit.
Great little restaurant with authentico dishes! The blackboard menu changes regularly and best to book ahead if coming on the weekend. I'd recommend finishing with their Affogato with a shot of Frangelico... Coffee, dessert and nightcap all-in-one! 😋👌
Had a beautiful lunch today. The food is excellent and the Service equally excellent. Chicken Scallopini and prawns 😋 fried eggplant #cibodelizioso Che buono!
Make a reservation before heading over!
It gets really busy if you don't have one (especially the weekends)
Went there without one but the manager gave us a seat before the arrival of the next reservation (thanks again!)
The food and services here were awesome.
The manager was patient and recommended these mains and every single one was good.
Highly recommended.
We really enjoy coming to this restaurant and seeing the passionate owner Fabio and the team. Admittedly every time we drop in the price of the dishes goes up and up, but we can sort of understand that due to the rise in cost of living. I really appreciate their chef specialities menu, which constantly changes. BYO wine is still available, but I think they're trying to phase that out with corkage at $6 p.p
Very popular cosy Italian restaurant with excellent service. Can be quite noisy due to the crowd but good spot for a nice meal.
Ciao Cucina is a little slice of Italy in the heart of Wollongong. A wonderful meal with fantastic service by host Fabio and Chef Enrico. Definitely the best Italian in the the 'gong. Friendly accommodating staff and great fresh food in a relaxed environment. Can definitely recommend Ciao Cucina for a trattoria style restaurant. 5 stars from me.
